One Day Protein Banana Smoothie

There are a lot of people who will only see the word banana in our One Day Protein Banana Shake.  The truth is that banana acts as a thickener and brings flavors together while adding fiber and potassium.  The flavor doesn’t have to take over.


  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt – Stonyfield Farms or even better Greek God’s yogurt are our favorites in flavor and quality of ingredients
  • 1/2 banana – You want this ripe but not bruised so that you get the fiber and not just concentrated sugar.  Don’t like banana?  You can substitute 1/3-1/2 cooked, peeled sweet potato – delicious, fibrous and a great thickener.
  • 2 pitted dates – This is for sweetness since if you are using plain yogurt.  The dates also fiber and minerals.
  • 1/4 cup almond milk – For smooth in the smoothie and lots of belly busting calcium.
  • 1 scoop of One Day Diet Protein powder – You can skip the yogurt if you want but the probiotics in the yogurt are great for belly busting as well.

Add some ice or some water if you want a thinner smoothie and blend.  Drink up.
